Here are the rest of my canine companions!

Grace and Ashley Whippet

This is Grace and Ashley.  Although these two Whippets originally came from two different places, both had severe separation anxieties.  After lots of work and TLC, the only thing they hate to be separated from now is the couch!

Barkley is a Labrador mix and due to behavioral issues is considered unadoptable by our local shelter.  Weighing in at over one hundred pounds, he looks rather intimidating.  But looks can be deceiving.  He is a gentle soul who is devoted to us and gets along well with all of our other pets.

This is Barkley. He's not as tough as he looks.
This is Tessa!

This is Tessa who is almost always in perpetual motion!  She is an Australian Shepherd mix who was suffering with Sarcoptic and Demodectic mange when she came to us in 2002.  It took extensive treatment before she recovered.  I had no intention of keeping another dog when we began fostering her for adoption, especially since she hated children.  However, Tessa and my son had other plans.

Hannah had a horrible start on life.  She lived in a cage from the time she was nine weeks old until she was rescued at four months of age.  She suffered from starvation and numerous intestinal parasites.  The tiny collar she wore was embedded in her neck.  During that time she never saw the sun or walked in the grass.  Her whole world was contained within the confines of the cage.  Although she has recovered from malnutrition, illness and neglect, it has taken her much longer to overcome the psychological damage.

My name is Hannah and I love my family!
Say hello to big and beautiful Tilly!

Tilly was one of two Newfoundlands abandoned here by their owner during the spring of 2002.  Although the other Newfoundland was adopted by a wonderful family, Tilly is so afraid of strangers that she would try to hide from anyone who came to see her, drool uncontrollably and would literally quiver with fear.  She wasn't too appealing to potential adopters. Needless to say, Tilly has found her forever home with us.  She is a happy, loving member of our family where she never has to be afraid again.

Miss Mazie spent the first five years of her life producing litters of puppies for a self-described reputable breeder.  She is oh so sweet, but painfully shy.  It took her several months to adjust to living in a real home with a family.
